Kinderflute™ Academy classes are designed for groups of children ages 4-8 and meet weekly. The classes employ a wide range of fun, movement activities that develop musicianship and promote understanding of flute playing basics. It is recommended that children learn on flutes with curved headjoints, which are easier to handle then traditional flutes and are designed for small hands. Options for flutes are readily available and Molly can assist you in your selection, or help you customize a flute you might already own. Weekly private lessons are also a requirement of the program, so that the instructor can focus on individual musical needs.

A typical Kinderflute™ academy class consists of 5-7 students in a warm, caring environment.  Each class includes fun breathing exercises, music theory games, music listening activities, and movement activities (such as parachute activities and relay races) that improve cognitive understanding of music.
